Tjeldstø 19 October 2009

Barely out of the house but in the brief time I was outside a Waxwing sidensvans flew over - first of the autumn and pretty much bang on time.

Julian, what's the Goldcrest situation over there. Numerous online posts about a near total absemce of crests this Autumn both on the East Coast and inland. Any comments?

They've been scarce up to about 10 days ago. Although not large numbers they are now more or less eveywhere.
