Solberg 12 January 2009

Confined to the house again but managed to get out for half an hour in rapidly fading light.

Best bird was a roadside Peregrine vandrefalk which flew up with the bloody remains of something in its talons.

A Gannet havsule flew over - no doubt forced inshore by the ongoing strong onshore winds.

Out on the sea the Eiders ærfugl had been forced into the bay and a small flock of Long-tailed Duck havelle were present as usual. At least two White-tailed Eagle havørn and a few Purple Sandpipers fjæreplytt were all I managed to see before the light went.
