Herdlevær 15 October 2009

Once again plenty of birds about without anything terribly special. Best bird for me was the first Nuthatch spettmeis I've seen in Øygarden this year. Other stuff of interest included a late Willow Warbler løvsanger, a Grey Wagtail vintererle and a Yellowhammer gulspurv.

At least two Great Spotted Woodpecker flaggspett and a Grey-headed Woodpecker gråspett also present.

Quite a few finches including Siskin grønnsisik, Brambling bjørkefink and Twite bergirisk.

At Sæle a breif stroll produced at least four Blackcap munk feeding on the abundant elderberries there.
