A bitingly cold north-westerly wind with prolonged hail / snow showers meant that things felt pretty wintery today.
Pick of the sightings were a Black-headed Gull hettemåke and three Common Snipe enkeltbekkasin but the best experience were a few Purple Sandpipers fjæreplytt rumaging around on the shore. Cold work lying on the rocks trying to take some pictures in the atrocious light conditions.
At least two Rock pipits skjærpiplerke - one of which made me look twice....

Nydelige bilder Julian, men kan du ikke heller finne noen polarsvømmesniper? De røyser på både nord og sør for oss, og jeg vet ikke om noen som er bedre plassert i Hordaland enn deg til å finne dem ;-)

Det var nettop det jeg prøvde på!
Hadde derimot en vader over sjøen men det var altfor dårlig sikt...
