Southerly gales with rain / showers most of the day.
A Common Sandpiper strandsnipe was the first bird I saw from my terrace when I got up this morning.
Took things easy today with a short walk at Breivik. Here the highlight was a male Ring Ousel ringtrost together with a flock of Fieldfare gråtrost and Redwing rødvingetrost which were obviously grounded migrants.Willow Warbler løvsanger singing here too,
A brief look at parts of Tjeldstø produced a Pied Wagtail svartryggerle, a colour ringed Common Gull fiskemåke which was only just too far away to read the number on - would love to know where this bird acquired its bling. Also a 3 cy Lesser Black-backed Gull sildemåke - a relatively uncommon age group to see. More grounded thrushes here too.
