Fresh westerly winds and a couple of heavy showers meant conditions were not exactly ideal but a good variety of birds were to be seen.
The long-staying Slavonian Grebe horndykker, several Pinkfeet kortnebbgås, three Shoveler skjeand, a Grey Wagtail vintererle and a good selection (and numbers) of waders were present including a Curlew Sandpiper tundrasnipe, around 40 Ruff brushane, 30 Grey Plover tundralo, 20 Bar-tailed Godwits lappspove and plenty more besides.
Dunlin mysnipe - approximately 50 were present.
This lone Pinkfoot kortnebbgås probably had something wrong with it - it was just too tame
Meanwhile, back in Øygarden a Black-browed Albatross svartbryalbatross was seen heading south past Herdlevær along with several Sooty Shearwaters grålire.
