Little Ringed Plover dverglo at TjeldstøA brief look at Husvatnet at Tjeldstø produced the unexpected today in the form of a Little Ringed Plover dverglo. This is the first record for Tjeldstø and for Øygarden - the species has only been recorded a few times at Voss and other inland sites previously. Unfortunately I only managed a couple of "record" shots before I had to leave.
The southerly winds have proved good for something!
Also present was a Wood Sandpiper grønstilk and the first Common Whitethroat tornsanger of the year (both birds have been present a couple of days....)
